
PLANT FOR THE TREATMENT OF THE FLUIDS USED FOR THE DEMOLITION OF THE
SMOKES OF THE INCINERATOR OF REFUSALS IN AMSTERDAM (
Frebuary 2008 ) .
The plant in matter has been studied for treating the liquids used for demolishing
and to purify the smokes of the incinerator of the city of Amsterdam.
Such liquids are treated with the evaporators of the CARE.
These last ones allow to separate the water, that can be digested/recover in
the classical way, from the different acids and mixtures that require, instead,
to be digested in special way.
This operation is effected through a system to "under vaccum evaporation".
Studied for treating up to 216 m3/day of solution (such they are the volumes
of the produced liquids every day from the system of filtering), the plant articulates
in n° 3 separate evaporators, equal among them and with a single ability of
72 m3/day (3.000 lt/hs cad).
The choice of the n° 3 sections lists it has mainly been done for a matter
of praticality/security. This doesn't remove that it is possible to realize a
single plant with a general ability as that above-mentioned.
Having available, the vapor produced by the incinerator, is chosen to plan
some evaporators with a defined technology "to double effect".
Such solution allows, in case of sources to tall temperature and of suitable
power, to be able to fully exploit the whole disposition energy and, parallelly,
to get a good energetic saving. In practice, with the same quantity of energy
to the source, you can be gotten the double one some distillate.
From the functional point of view, it deals with heating the present liquid
in the boilers and to make to evaporate it making to pass it through special heating-excange.
It needs to underline that, thanks to the present vaccum inside the boilers,
the evaporation happens a lot below the standard 100°C to which water boils
to the normal atmospheric pressure.
The vapor created is condensed in a special section of the boiler where a serpentine
is present in which circulates some liquid to an inferior temperature to that
of the dewy point of the vapor produced that, obviously it condenses him on it
returning in liquid form.
This above-mentioned is, in synthesis, the concept of operation of the evaporators
installed near the city of Amsterdam. We do present that these last ones have
on purpose been studied for this project.
